Ryan's {Friend} Birthday Party

We had a SporTykes Birthday Party for Ryan {he took a 12 week SporTykes class this fall} and 9 of his friends on Saturday morning at a nearby church gym. It was fun and chaotic!! What is to be expected from 10 two and three year olds though?!?!

Coach Shannon was there to play age-appropriate soccer activities with the kids for the first 45 minutes of the party. Unfortunately, Ryan wasn't in the best of moods {he is not a morning person and has been fighting a cold for the last week or so} so he participated when he wanted and did his own thing the rest of the time. And his own thing, more often than not, involved Ellie. However, this was true for a lot of the kids, especially the boys. I don't think poor Coach Shannon ever managed to get all 10 kids doing the same thing at the same time. They all seemed to have a blast though, which is all that matters.

Trying to get Mr. Happy :)

The happy birthday huddle :)

Then for the last half hour we visited and had goldfish, apple slices, ice cream cone cupcakes, and apple juice. Ryan didn't care for anything but the juice {cupcake included}, and would have taken 10 juice boxes if we had let him.

Top row: Camryn, Anya, Alyssa, Harrison, Nathaniel.
Front row: Evie, Ellie, Ryan, Conall, Matthew.

Seeing the smile on Ryan's face as we sang "Happy Birthday" to him {with his assistance :)} was priceless though!! And luckily a friend captured it on video so here is a little slice of preciousness, for your viewing pleasure ...

Everyone got to take home a cool goody bag and a balloon, in addition to a fun soccer stamp, sticker, and sucker they got from Coach Shannon. The birthday boy also got a SporTykes trophy {his first one}, and lots of nice gifts from his generous friends, which we had fun opening when we got home!! It was a memorable party!
