Christmas Cookies and Lights Galore

More Christmas fun was had on Saturday. All.Day.Long! :)

Ryan and I made Christmas cookies all morning and afternoon with Pop, Grammy, Aunt Laura, and Daniel. We made White Chocolate Chip + Cranberry + Oatmeal cookies, my great-grandmother's butter cookies {with a cookie press}, and cutout sugar cookies with icing, my favorite! Ryan had fun eating the sprinkles and icing, and playing in the flour on the counter when Pop wasn't watching :)

"Here, Pop!"

Uh-oh!! Good thing Pop is smiling about this flour mess :)

The finished product ... DELISH!

Then we went to see the Lights of Life with the Lichfields at Life University in Marietta. It was a great drive-thru Christmas light display for $5, but was a little congested with lots of other cars. Thankfully, the GPS took us in the back entrance so we weren't stuck sitting in a line of cars for 2 hours to get in like some people.

Being silly in the car :)

A taste of the lights ... this hill was the best part!

There was also an area where you could get out and walk around. They had pony rides, train rides, a concession stand, pictures with Santa, and a petting zoo, all for an additional cost. We let Ryan and Ellie play in the petting zoo until we were all freezing, and then we headed back to the car. Ryan was obsessed with the bunnies and wanted to hold one badly. I picked up several and let him put his arms around them, but was afraid to let him completely hold one for fear that he would drop it or squeeze it to death. Thus, he took matters into his own hands and managed to pick up several different bunnies all on his own. And he didn't hurt them at all. I was impressed with my little buddy!

Doubting my boys abilities at this point
so we are holding the bunny together.

He showed me!! Good job, Buddy! :)

Cute little elves :)

On the way home we stopped by Krispy Kreme for some doughnuts {what a treat!}, which we enjoyed at the Lichfield's house before heading home. It was a super fun day and night!!

And David had fun in Cincinnati with his Mom and Rick ... relaxing, playing Rummikub, shopping, watching football and movies, and celebrating his impending 30th birthday!
