Aunt Laura's birthday was on March 22nd, which happened to fall on a Thursday this year. So after I picked Ryan up from preschool, we headed to Laura's school to surprise her with a balloon, cupcakes, and cards. Ryan was soooo excited about this, and Laura was happy to see us! It was a fun treat for all :)
Cheese ... now let me eat my cupcake in peace! :)
Two days later, we celebrated her birthday again with my immediate family. Dad made a yummy dinner and a delicious cheesecake for dessert. And, as always, Ryan had fun singing his rendition of the Happy Birthday song for Aunt Laura and helping her blow out her candles :)Happy birthday to YOU!
Happy 27th Birthday, Aunt Laura!
We hope you have an awesome year!

Now, if you are wondering if Ryan eats cheesecake, the answer is NO! But since we went to {Ellie's little brother} Gavin's first birthday party earlier in the afternoon, he had his fair share of birthday treats there :) He was a big fan of the chocolate ice cream as well as playing with swords {which apparently can be easily mistaken for an aluminum baseball bat ... good thing Ellie's grandpa was in the basement and able to avert a birthday party disaster} and toy guns with all Ellie's boy cousins!
Yummy chocolate ice cream!!
The sweet birthday boy! So glad we got to
celebrate with him and his family :)
Lastly, Granddaddy's birthday was on March 30th. We headed over to Ama and Granddaddy's house that evening {David was even home to go with us :)} and celebrated with pizza for dinner and lemon icebox pie for dessert, his favorite. Ryan had so much fun helping Grandaddy open some of his presents {he was really excited about the bird seed ... we might need to look into getting a bird feeder for our new house} and was a pro at blowing out Granddaddy's candles. It was a real blessing to be able to celebrate another birthday with my wonderful grandfather and to watch Ryan bring a smile to his face :)celebrate with him and his family :)
Bird seed, so exciting!!
Happy 84th Birthday, Grandaddy! Best wishes for a great year ahead, and lots more fun birthday pizza parties to come!
