Ryan's Obsession

We are quickly coming to the realization that Ryan is OBSESSED with watching several movies - Wee Sing in Sillyville and Wee Sing in the Big Rock Candy Mountain. He has just recently gotten where he pays attention to the TV, but only begs to watch these movies, and would watch them 100 times a day if you let him! He rushes to the TV the minute he wakes up in the morning, after his nap, and any other time during the day that he feels the need. He even has his personalized Pottery Barn lazy boy placed perfectly in front of the TV. It is a little ridiculous!

And, what is even better is that he has learned how to operate the DVD player and the TV/Video button on the TV ... seriously! We now have to shut the door in order to cordon him off (thank goodness he picked a TV in a room where we can shut the door, until he no longer needs us to open it, which will probably be sooner rather than later). But once he realizes the door is shut, he proceeds to throw himself to the ground screaming in an effort to get us to open the door for him. "No such luck, buddy!"

On the positive side, at least it occupies him for a while if we need to get something else done without his help :)

And now for what is capturing his attention ... Little Bunny Foo Foo has been turned into a Goon by the Mee-ce Mice:)

But, just to confess, Ryan comes by it honestly as his Mommy also LOVED these movies ... enough to buy the DVD versions 20+ years later on Amazon.com when he was only about 6 months old, and could care less about watching TV. She knew he would enjoy them one day and enjoy them he does (maybe too much)!
